Charity Motors                           
Charity Motors® is one of the only car donation programs in Detroit and Dallas-Ft. Worth that guarantees the full Fair Market Value Tax Deduction for your vehicle at the time of donation. Charity Motors® will sell your vehicle, at a discount, to someone in need. Your car donation helps those who have struggled to find access to transportation with the freedom of owning a car or truck.

Catholic Charities Centralized Transportation Program
Program Mission:  “An efficient and economical Centralized Transportation Program that assists current Catholic Charities clients to succeed financially by removing the transportation barrier to work, public benefit services, and medical appointments.”

Medical Transportation Program     

Offers non-emergency transportation services for eligible customers to authorized medical and dental care.  Must be a categorically eligible Medicaid recipient with need to access covered heath care services.  Must call at least 48 hours in advance.

Project 44 
Project-44’s auto ministry operates from the donation of vehicles that may need repairs. Ben donates a minimum of one day per week to this ministry to focus strictly on fixing these cars for donation. The auto ministry also seeks funding to buy the parts needed to bring these cars into good working order and to provide services such as auto insurance and vehicle transfer fees.

Ultimately, these cars are gifted to those in need or have fallen on hard times. The gift of a car will provide them the means to support themselves in work and other needs such as doctor appointments. This ministry has gained momentum and has been the cornerstone of our charity. We have exceed our goals in our first two years, help us reach our current year goal.

Ride to Work

Call 48 hours in advance.  The cost is $2 per day!!! The Ride2Work Program is a result of a grant-funded partnership between the City of Arlington, the Red Cross and numerous partner agencies. The Ride2Work Program provides transportation to eligible low or moderate-income Arlington residents to help them access a broad range of employment-related activities.

South Central Alliance of Churches        
Offers emergency assistance with basic needs: limited rent and utilities, food, clothing, diapers, toiletries, and referrals to other agencies.  Services are for zip codes: 76104, 76109, 76110.

Ways 2 Work

Offers transportation assistance to those in need in the Fort Worth area. 

Westaid                                      
Offers assistance in the form of local public transportation bus passes for employment travel and confirmed medical needs.  Gasoline vouchers are available for a confirmed job.  Picture ID, current utility bill for proof of address and a current paycheck stub for proof of employment are required.  

 

DALLAS COUNTY AREA

Grand Connection                        
Offers a transportation service provided by the City of Grand Prairie to serve the needs of Grand Prairie senior citizens and citizens with physical challenges.  Passengers are picked up and taken to medical appointments, work, and school.  $1 per trip to Grand Prairie.
